I am a motivated Human-Computer Interaction specialist and completed my Master's degree at Utrecht University with a focus on User Experience and User Research in December 2024. Since early 2022, I have gained practical experience as a freelance Mobile App Developer and UI/UX Designer, demonstrating my ability to translate user needs into functional applications.
I completed my Bachelor's in HCI at the University of Hamburg, combining Computer Science and Psychology. I thrive in collaborative environments and have worked in interdisciplinary teams during my time as a freelancer, working student, and student, gaining diverse international experiences. I possess strong technical skills in app development, particularly with React Native, and am proficient in UI/UX design methods, including User Research, prototyping (e.g., with Figma), and the creation of high-fidelity mockups. My experience includes developing scalable mobile apps with Firebase, frontend development for complex applications, and working with design systems. I am fluent in German and English and have basic knowledge of Dutch.

Since January 2022, I have been enthusiastically working as a freelance Mobile App Developer and UI/UX Designer. Before starting my freelance career, I gained valuable experience at Mutabor in Hamburg. There, I supported the visual development, brainstorming, and design of branding concepts and interface designs as a working student for 1 1/2 years. It was a great time during which I was able to contribute to the development of flexible, contemporary digital design systems and work in an interdisciplinary team. Technical Focus
My technical focus lies in the development of modern and efficient software solutions. This includes the development of scalable community apps using Firebase, where I place particular emphasis on real-time data updates and secure user authentication. Furthermore, I have realized frontends for innovative AI-powered nutrition and sports applications with React Native. The development of comprehensive employee applications, including employee registers (synchronized with Azure Register) and an integrated wiki system (based on the Confluence database), is also part of my expertise.
Whether it's web, Android, or iOS, I have conceived and implemented projects for all platforms. Be it with cross-platform frameworks like React Native and one code for all three operating systems simultaneously, or with platform-specific code. With my eye for design, I succeed in bringing your brand and its "look and feel" to all platforms while remaining intuitive and user-friendly. You can find examples in my portfolio.
App Development Skills
UI and UX Design Focus
In the field of design, I place great emphasis on a user-centered approach. This means that I begin with the conception and design of projects based on User-Centered Design methods. To precisely understand user needs and requirements, I conduct User Research, for example, in the form of interviews and surveys. I then translate the gained insights into the development of interactive prototypes in Figma to validate design concepts. Finally, I create the visual design and high-fidelity mockups, always taking branding guidelines and design systems into account.

From October 2018 to June 2022, I completed the Bachelor of Science in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the University of Hamburg. In this program, my focus was on the main subjects of Computer Science and Psychology.
