Mutabor

MUTABOR is considered Germany's largest independent 360° design agency & brand consultancy. They develop strategies to achieve a brand's vision – internally and externally. Furthermore, they design agile design systems that unfold a sustainable brand experience at every touchpoint – physical, digital, and hybrid. And Mutabor programs and designs digital products and services to enable boundless, future-oriented interaction with the user.

To advance digitalization and design not only externally, a new employee application was therefore developed. This was not only to replace the old employee directory (Faces) but also to include several new functions, such as push news, space booking, wiki, and much more. This led to the creation of Faces 2.0.

Faces 2.0

To facilitate the maintenance of multiple systems, a connection to Microsoft's Active Directory was implemented. This not only enabled the use of Single Sign-On, which was already used for authentication in all other applications, or the use of a common Outlook calendar function. It also served as a source for all employee information. This information ranged from position, to workgroup, to skills and projects. Colleagues with the corresponding skills. In addition, it is possible to filter by office and workgroup/unit. To not lose the practical functions, but also the fun, a small game was included, which consisted of guessing names and pictures.

Atlassian Connections

To avoid setting up even more new systems for all other functions, a system used by Mutabor was chosen, namely Confluence from Atlassian. If this application doesn't sound familiar to you: Atlassian offers the market-leading ticketing and documentation systems with Jira and Confluence. Wiki entries or the food in the kitchen, everything can be done with a simple click in Confluence.
